If it wasnt for Di, i would never have met Donna all those years ago in a time when School Hill Cottages were the Devon version of The Waltons, Sunday roasts at No.3 were an institution and Di ran around all week on her numerous jobs around the village. Throughout all the years she never judged me, was always there for me and i’ll never forget seeing her running to the front of the crowd at a Cliff Richard concert, screaming like a banshee. It all made sense why husband Cliff wouldn’t go with her and I had to be her wingman for the evening. it’s ironic that the big heart she had was the thing that took her from her family in the end.
